### Объяснение и правила
В этих упражнениях мы используем формы прошедшего времени глагола **to be** (*быть, находиться*): **was / were** и их отрицательные формы **wasn't / weren't**.
* **was / wasn't** используется с местоимениями в единственном числе: **I**, **he**, **she**, **it** (а также с существительными в единственном числе: *a café*, *Zoya*, *a hotel*, *Nina*).
* **were / weren't** используется во множественном числе и со словом «ты/вы»: **you**, **we**, **they** (а также с несколькими лицами: *the children*, *Karl and Fred*, *my mum and dad*).
