Сравнительная степень (Comparative Degree) Используется для сравнения **двух** предметов или людей (в предложении часто есть слово-маркер **than** — «чем»): * **Короткие прилагательные (1–2 слога):** добавляем суффикс **-er**. * Если слово оканчивается на согласную с предшествующей краткой гласной, согласная удваивается: *fat $\rightarrow$ fat**t**er*, *hot $\rightarrow$ hot**t**er*. * Если оканчивается на **-y**, она меняется на **-i-**: *easy $\rightarrow$ eas**ier***, *heavy $\rightarrow$ heav**ier***. * **Длинные прилагательные (2 и более слогов):** ставим слово **more** перед прилагательным: *more famous*, *more difficult*. * **Исключения:** *good $\rightarrow$ better*, *bad $\rightarrow$ worse*, *much/many $\rightarrow$ more*. #### 2. Превосходная степень (Superlative Degree) Используется для сравнения **трёх и более** объектов / когда кто-то или что-то является самым лучшим/большим в группе (маркеры: **the**, **in the world**, **of all**, **in the class**): * **Короткие прилагательные:** артикль **the** + суффикс **-est** (*the darkest*, *the fastest*).
