As a result, creatures like large predators or elephants often develop repetitive, unnatural behaviours due to extreme boredom and lack of space. Moreover, many commercial zoos prioritise profit over animal welfare, keeping creatures solely for human entertainment. All in all, while conservation efforts are undoubtedly important, locking animals in cages is an outdated approach.
